had tsb T-SB-0273-17 done today

well my squeaky springs are fixed, but unhappy with service.. wtf never had bad service from my dealer till today,, they got all the pics when i got home,, stopped and got beer on way home and looked underneith, and said wtf, wasnt going back even tho only a mile away.. had to take tires off and use large c-clamp to finish the job myself, bad service tech..this was DONE AT SCRANTON TOYOTA, PURCHASED 3 TACOMAS THERE,, WONT BE GOING BACK THERE FOR A 4TH..

 

This is why I fear the Toyota Service Dept.

 

yea i know, i came home and had to pull rear tires to get c-clamp on to close the leaf-clamps,,, i could not take the squeaks anymore.. service tech did not complete the work.. 2nd 2 pics is after i fixed them..

 

I understand using the service dept if it's a warranty thing. It's just that my local Toyota dealer has not been stellar.

30,000 miles, northeast pa. lots of snow and salt,, gonna get something to spray under there this week

 

The tech was probably focused on what his true gender pronoun should be, and whether the service manager can be sued for making fun of his neck-beard-wraparound manbun.

Just an educated guess.

 

The clamps on my springs look like ops, mine came that way. Just looked after seeing this thread. How tight they supposed to be

 

ONLY GOOD THING THAT CAME FROM THIS, IS I HAVE NO SQUEAK ANYMORE.. LOL.. BUT LOST A DEALER THAT I WONT GO BACK TOO.. BAD SERVICE = BAD DEALER..

That’s pretty terrible service. Not sure I’d want them to attempt a fix. Maybe take it to a different dealership?
