It looks like someone tried cleaning sonething off that area, maybe with a magic eraser or something abrasive.
Can you go a close up shot? Any other areas looking like that?

3 spots. No abrasive sponges have been used

Yeah but have you been the only person touching your truck since it rolled off the factory line?

Dealers do dumb ass shit to paint. Thats why you never allow them to give you free car washes.

What I would do is wash the vehicle and use a clay bar over those hazy spots.

If that doesn’t fix it that indicates somewhere a harmful product or substance was left on the paint and its compromised the outer surface. You can probably polish it out pretty easily. If you don’t own a dual action polisher I’d pay a detailer to polish the panels you see it on.

I had the same thing happen to my Tacoma. Took it to the dealership since the majority of the time I hand wash. Told me no defects with the paint and said something must have gotten on it at a car wash. I have honestly taken my truck a handful of times to a car wash. I ended up having a Detailer do a 1 stage correction to the paint since a hand wash wasn’t doing the trick. I posted a before photo.

I have a spot like that on the hood of my 2018 white 4Runner. Drives me nuts every time I wash it. First noticed it about 18 months ago. It hasn’t changed since then.

How about an after photo? Did the paint correction fix it?

Bummer… That was just 1 of about 5-6 spots I had on my truck. The Detailer couldn’t tell me what caused it, but I am glad he got them out.
