My truck was recently backed into and ended up slightly damaging my BAMF grill (along with busting the headlights, bezel, bumper, etc). It's not terribly mangled, just a couple dents and scuffs, but I've never worked with powdercoat and am wondering what's the best way to repair it? Should I sand the shit out of it and just plasti-dip it, or can I rattle can some powdercoat? Does powdercoat even come in rattle cans?

I'd prefer to do this myself and I can't send it back to BAMF (shipping was pretty nuts getting it to Guam) but this stock grill they stuck on here makes me sad. It's not as bad as the chrome braces she originally came with, but I really miss my BAMF grill.

Powder coat really isn't repairable. Especially by someone not in the PC business. If it was chips in a bumper or slider I'd suggest a paint pen and move on but I'm afraid noting but stripping and recoating is the only option to make that look right

Edit: so I took a closer look. Is it really scratched or just scuffed? It doesn't look that deep. Maybe a good cleaning and something like "back to black"? Plasti dip will work but you'd have to do the whole thing to match

It's kind of hard to see in the pic but it's all the way down to the metal in a couple spots. I looked on BAMFs site, it looks like this isn't typical powdercoat, they sell a fit it kit for these things. I'll wait till it gets back in stock and order some.
