About to get our second Toyota and first Tacoma, What checks should we perform before leaving the dealers lot and what would be we looking for when test driving?

I already went to check and sit on it(no test drive). The seat is kinda low (5'4) but theres a workaround as reading thru some threads, theres a shim available. I'm also aware of the ATF issue, but the truck needs to lifted to be able to check the level. I don't want to be taking ownership and leaving the lot knowing known issues. (will be visiting again today 9/17 to test drive and negotiate term and rate)

New? Fit, finish, & panel gaps. Used, everything you can. Mostly drive more than a few miles. Leaks, vibration, funny sounds/smells etc.

With such a recent build date, all the known service bulletins would have been incorporated. As with any new car, bring a bright light and use the time to thoroughly inspect the exterior for scratches, chips on windshield, and other damage, since you won't have recourse on those after you drive it off the lot.

    Is it a 4-cyl?
