Hmm? Major complaints? Don't know if I'd call them major. 3 things I didn't like and one complaint.

    (1) The lack of a real rear bumper like the one I had on my 2nd Gen. About a $900 fix I haven't done yet.

    (2) The type and location of the oil filter. 2nd Gen. filter was topside in the engine compartment and was spin-on vs underneath and a paper cartridge. Living with it although there is a solution albeit somewhat pricey.

    (3) Lack of the accessory headrail. A $50 fix.

    Complaint?
Acceleration surge in 2nd gear and trying to get the dealership to perform the TSB to correct the problem.

Those are / were my only concerns. Still haven't got them to do the TSB......., working on it!

    Hope this helps.

True, ive seen a few videos of aftermarket headunits with android auto/carplay, it seems very complex to get it to work with tacomas. thats why i was hoping it would be a direct replacement. I wish they were able to just send a update! haha

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
Brakes. I seem to be in the minority, but I thought the brakes, as they come from the factory, sucked golf balls through a garden hose. It's not just our Tacos. I got a 2019 Highlander as a loaner once, same thing.

Spent $$$ replacing the rear drums with discs, replacing the rotors and calipers on the fronts, and putting SS clad teflon lines all around. Muuuuuch better.

<edit> Oh yeah, and a new master cylinder and a reservoir for the clutch.

I like the after better, that's actually pretty tight. I have a black truck and have been doing red accents. Red pops pretty good on black. BTW, what is "Wizgear" exactly?

That's a good combination of boudin and sweet sausage right there. 10 years younger than you? So she is probably closer to my age than yours! You never know... lol

Funny story, off topic, but I don't really care. My oldest son was born in '86 (previous marriage). She was born in '77 (you do the math, I'm not crazy), I was born in Dec 66. She is actually closer in age to my kid than me. And yes just the right mix (if there is such a thing) of sweet and crazy. Sweet enough to love unconditionally, crazy enough to put several states in between us if I ever mess it up (which I doubt will happen).

All is good now. Nothing 40 lost pounds, surgery, 32 missed days of work, four new scars, and a lifetime of pills won't fix. And I say that in the most positive and grateful way possible. Honestly a couple of spare parts gone and I am in better health than I was in my 30s. Life is good.

Continuing the off topic don't care theme. She is definitely closer in age to me. Lol. 1975 here obviously. My fiance is 1987. 12 years difference to me. My oldest son is 1997. 10 years difference between him and her. So I feel ya. And yes. Crazy enough... not to have to put states between us if I messed up, but I might have to help her bury a body. :goingcrazy::fenforcer:

    Lol.
