    Hi,

I am a newby to tacomas and have a couple of questions about the camburg 2wd 4.0 lift spindles:

First, has anyone run the spindles by themselves with stock front and stock non lifted rear suspension for the "prerunner" look?

Second, I have the base SR with steel wheels and am wondering if the stock wheels will work with the spindles if I am only planning on running 265/75-R16 tires for now? Down the road I will do aftermarket wheels and maybe 285's but for now doing the first build out.

Thirdly, wondering how hard the install is and if anyone has personally installed these? Also if I have a shop do it what is the general/average price for a spindle install with brake hoses?

I don't go off road much and am looking to keep the stock ride but would like a little more beef and sweet rugged looks. Any thoughts or advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

I’d make sure you have 6 wheel lugs, not a 5 lug Tacoma. If you have a 5 lug truck, they will not work for your vehicle.

If you have a 6 lug, you probably won’t be able to run your oem wheels, as usually lift spindles need 17” wheels to clear the increased size of them.

Also, if you truly don’t go offroad, I’d consider Maxtrac spindles, can find them on Amazon. They are about half the price, and have worked well for many others.

Also keep in mind, with the extended brake lines up front, and must bleed the lines afterwards as part of the install

You'll also need 3/4" rear wheel spacers.
