Hope you're not referring to the plastic nut used to hold down the carpet?

That is indeed a plastic nut used to hold down the carpet (and the plastic kick panel).

Or it could be an NSA microphone. :tinfoilhat:

also heres a little bit of the damage i got from a deer saturday after a party on friday the 13th. its funny bc the right headlight that got damaged worked but the left did not. thankfully got home with right headlight and left foglight with no police.A9F8F5F4-4A38-4B5E-9870-3F7DD674E726.jpg

Looks like the headlights were suffering from the melted DRL lenses anyway. Plenty of cheap chinesium parts available if you're just looking for stock replacements.

That's actually not too bad for a deer. Sometimes they get spun around and put a dent in your door, in addition to all the front end damage.

with that thing on the carpet it really seems like it has electrical purpose. there are 3 places to put male prongs. also i found an black waterproof end cap for male pronged electrical hookup, the same way still in the glovebox when i got the truck that had the same pattern

are you sure that is a bolt though? ive never seen a bolt like that in my life. seemed like something else to me. no head on it. only 3 holes which look to resemble an electrical connection

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
That is indeed a bolt and not an electrical connection.

And the thing you found in your glovebox is probably the safety cap you put on the connection for the rear camera wires If you remove your tailgate. When the tailgate is removed, you're supposed to cap the connection for the rear camera wires so it doesn't get moisture or dirt in there.

Had mine replaced January this year. Leaf springs in 2016. Ask for a rental while you wait. I had a 2018 TRD Sport for 6 weeks while mine was being replaced. My truck a 2007 also.

Mine didn't come with a camera either but it still had the cap in the glove box.

Edit-actually, the cap was on the plug, when I installed the camera I put the cap in the glove box. You might want to check under the frame on the passenger side just in front of the bumper as your plug might be exposed.
