So my neighbor's son bought a Gladiator Rubicon. I found it really interesting to look at our two trucks parked together. The Tacoma looks so conservative in comparison. Not sure how I feel about the Gladiator in general though. It's pretty over the top IMO. I will admit the Rubicon looks really tough. I saw a Galdiator sport yesterday and that just looked stupid with the base wheel and tires. This Rubicon on the other hand comes with some kick ass tired and wheels. Anyway, thought the compare and contrast was worth sharing.

Even the Rubicon Gladiator looks goofy with those small tires, needs 35s or bigger on it and it looks much better.

Just a thought but, sometimes more radical looking cars look kinda cool at first but then look like shit 5-10 years later when you've seen enough of them and went through enough different styles of cars. I wonder if the gladiator is going to end up that way.

And yes... Fiat FTMFL! I've worked on a few Chrysler/Fiat vehicles since the takeover, nothing about them at all would make me want to buy one.

I almost bought a Gladiator then came to my senses. They are kinda weird in the sense that people either seem to love or hate the way they look.

When I first saw them I thought they were the coolest thing around then little by little they started looking weird to me.

It’s true. Unless you throw at least 35’s and a two or three inch lift on your them they do look goofy as hell.

The fenders look flatter than the JK or the JL. Ready to accept bigger shoes?

I think it might look good in a single cab version. Like the new Ranger, I have only seen a handful on the road.

Gladiator looks like something Burt Gummer would drive in the next Tremors movie.

Just to add, another thing that makes a big difference with these trucks imho is the color. The red Jeep chose is fantastic and really makes it pop. The duller colors not so much. At las the hats my take on it...

That Jeep truck is the ugliest thing I have ever seen come out of Chrysler / Fiat.

I personally like how the Tacoma looks better than the Gladiator. When they mod the Gladiators they look better, but a modded Tacoma still looks better.
