Hello all, I had an incident with a trailer last weekend. I have towed many, many, many, trailers with my vehicles but this was a first. I have a 2019 Tacoma, after hooking up my raft trailer to head to the river, I found out the hard way that the trailer hitch was not hooked up properly. At the end of the driveway, the trailer broke loose of the ball. Good thing the safety chains kept major damage from happening to the truck or someone else. I did break the red outer lens on the right tail light. No big deal there. The tongue of the trailer scraped the insulation off of the connecting cable and exposed the bare wire. Here is the fun part. I checked all the fuses under the dash and in the engine compartment, alas a blown 30 amp tail light fuse. Replaced that and found power at the rear 7 way connection and also at the 4 way plug. The marker lights when tested at the truck operate properly as does the 12 volt aux. But the brake lights and turn signals do not work at all. Please help I am loosing my mind.

I am suspicious that a relay may be buggered, but I do not know of a way of testing it.

Thanks for your input Ronzio, I have not replied as I have been on a hunting trip for the last few days. The relay checked ok on all of the mentioned tests, all fuses are intact and functional. The truck has an appointment with the dealer monday am. Will keep you posted.
