When you got yours installed did you remove the LCA’s or did they get burned on with them in place?

You're good, Hh make them feel softer and more comfortable.
@seekoutbeauty has the U402 stage 3 without much weight currently. Obviously without weight, the springs will be firmer than you want

So with a set of Dakar’s (medium duty) and Bilstein 5100s in the rear, since the HH allow for more travel, would I be in danger of over extending the shocks?

Well if you're retaining your stock bump stops, your up travel limit remains unchanged and you won't bottom out your shocks. If you're just talking about droop, I wouldn't worry about harshly drooping out your shocks unless you're jumping your truck. Otherwise, simply having the shocks be the limit when articulating will be fine, won't hurt them. You'll be fine, and if you do ever do anything go-fast with your suspension, use limit straps to protect your equipment.

Bump stops = End of compression/Up-travel
-Range In-between (travel)- = determined by suspension (cycle)
Limit straps = End of extension/droop/down-travel.

Yeah I never go fast, most of what I do is slower crawling type of stuff. I’ve had the truck on 3 wheels fully stuffed, So I wasn’t sure if at max droop there would be an issue with the weight of the axle pulling the shock apart. I once saw a Jeep loose a shock. The shaft bent and then pulled its self out of the shock body.. that’s obviously an extreme case though lol.

It was more or less to see if I should do the shock relocation at the same time or see if I’d be ok the the HH for the time being

Well if you often find yourself in those kinds of situations, then limit straps might be a good idea just to be safe. They aren't expensive.

I think it's less the weight of the axle, and more about the leverage forces of articulation at that point if shafts are bending. But that could be a Jeep thing lol, sound like something else excess pushing the axle sideways than just droop, limit straps don't do anything for that. You of course know best the wheeling situations you encounter, I bet you'll be able to determine whether or not you need limit straps.

Can somebody inform me on the benefits/effects of going with the 3.6" shackle as opposed to using the stock shackles when doing this upgrade?

Edit: Running OME medium dakar's and extended OEM kings in the rear

I think mostly just that they are greasable and use poly bushings.

Figured that was it, bought poly bushings when I installed new leafs but I didn't want to deal with burning out the stock bushings at the time... question is, is $180 worth saving the hassle and having the option to grease :goingcrazy:

@ARCHIVE I'm a powder coater and would like to order a set raw? Can this be done?

I installed the 3.6" shackles rather than reuse the stock ones when I did the hammer hangers and I don't think the rubber bushings in the old shackles were actually allowing the shackle to pivot any.....

After some more digging I saw a post about buying OEM shackles without the bushings for $30 shipped (part number 04005-65104). Going to go this route

Yeah I want to do away with the rubber bushings, going to stick with oem shackles and install the poly bushings I got awhile back.

    Thanks for the feedback

You have to be careful using these or other bolts than what I provide, especially in the hanger/bottom of shackle location. If someone causes damage to their hangers by using a bolt that is longer (or incorrect) than what I provide, it's the customer's responsibility.

The bushings are an option on the Hh listing and best way to buy, but here's a link to bushings separate
    https://archivegarage.com/products?olsPage=products/tacoma-poly-bushings

3.6" option comes fully assembled with poly bushings and zerk fitting for maintenance. The tube on 3.6/4.5 is 1/4" DOM, they are likely stronger than stock shackles.
