Looking for reviews about this kayak. Yes I know that there is about a million online, but looking for a personal touch I guess you’d call it. Looking into buying one used. Anyone have anything to for when buying one used?

If it was me, I would personally have someone meet me somewhere and test paddle in the water. Look for deep scratches/scuffs or any blemishes that don’t seem right. I have the ascend 10T sit on top kayak that I bought new and fish out of it. It’s a decent kayak for majority of people but i am a hardcore fisherman and I need a better yak to fish out of due to me being a big guy at 6’1 275.

TLDR; Buy used is the best route, just test the yak and look over it really well. Anything ascend brand you cannot stand in unless you have really good balance. They are not bad kayaks for the price point.

Edit: Buy the longer kayak. Longer kayaks track better. Both of those yaks are decent boats. Reminds me that I had a friend who had the 12h and liked it but he eventually upgraded.

I ended up buying a brand new H10 for 300 bucks! a guy bought it and ended up buying it and not using it ever. I like it so far, but I haven't really tested it out much.
