Tacoma wins 2019 J.D. Power Resale Value Award for Midsize truck

This doesn't surprise me or probably any of the rest of you who have ever sold a Tacoma. They hold their value really well! I recently sold my 2004, 2WD Extended Cab (with no electric windows, or cruise control, etc.) with 186,000 miles for $7,000 in 1 week for full price!

I found the footnote interesting, "No other model in this segment performs above segment average."

JD power is worthless.

But it’s a nice gesture.

 

Did you know the J.D. part of J.D. power means give me money and you win this "award"

 

Maybe now Toyota will make a commercial with actors standing around pretending to be average Joe consumers getting surprised at the award.

 

Do you know that Chevy wins these for ALL of their vehicles even though their vehicles are garbage. It's like a participation award.

 

I worked at JD Power years ago: their research is solid.

Their flaw is that they sell the right to advertise winning their awards... like a cheap hooker.
