Just purchase a 2019 Tacoma TRD sport crew cab long bed. Was looking to get a taller tire on my stock 17 inch rims. Would this require a leveling kit or a lift kit and if so can anyone recommend which one would be the best. I'm just going after more appearance than anything don't want to get into any heavy modifications or have my head in the clouds. Would not like to compromise the handling of the truck but a Improvement would be great. And would doing any of this void my warranty in any way.

Many threads on what is most popular on this through out the forum. And as you become more familiar you will be able to figure out the search function pretty well. But to answer your question and what is most popular amongst other owners is the 2in lift/level kit from a number of sources. I will personally recommend @HeadStrong Off-Road. Its a pretty simple shock and front spring replacement and on a new truck this will be easier than one with some years on it like I just recently went through on mine. Almost everyone will tell you to stay away from the spacers/block lifts as they turn the ride to crap from what I hear. Going with the HS bilstein 5100 kit will make your ride a lot better and keep your handling and everything the same your head won't be up in the clouds either. This will give you enough room to run a bigger tire and probably the look you are going for. Good luck

Thank you still trying to figure out the Forum and where to post my question.if i decided to go with the kit you are talking about how much of a taller Tire would I be able to run without any rubbing issues. Like I said I'm not looking to get a monster truck look just something a little taller. And thank you for your response.

even with out the lift/level kit when I bought my truck it had 285/65x17 I think  that is what I read on the tire last night. I know 285 for certain but it would rub at full lock. I am still learning as well so I don't have a definite tire size for max someone else could probably answer that. My guess would be a true 33 would fit. I just put the Add A Leafs in last night and I have to pull the drivers front coil over back out to add the spacer for Taco lean that I forgot to install originally. Fist picture is pre lift/level and the second is post lift with out the rear AAL 's installed. I will try to get a picture today of it with the rear completely done.

I like it. Like member Unchained 5150 said I am going to research, research and then do more research. I'm in no hurry just bought the truck but it's definitely something I think I'm going to do down the road. Going to have to check into any warranty issues. Plan on having the truck for a long time don't want no warranty issues.

I went from having OME 887's on 5100's up front and rear ICON 2.0 Shocks to all Kings. Not necessary but after 4 years that's what I upgraded to and love them. Get whatcha want it's your money and your truck.

I did ALOT of research for my 19 TRD Off-Road and went with the ICON Stage 5 lift. I love it.

    Slightly taller?

I know for sure 70 series will fit. More common anyway. P265-70x17

I only went with King as I have never seen a thread on here complaining about them in regards to quality, Customer Service etc. Seen many threads in regards to ICON issues for quality, and Customer Service.
