DRL question on 3rd Gen Tacoma, for those with Techstream access

Hi,

I had a question for those with Carista and/or other way (ex/ Techstream) to access the menu of options in the truck.

I saw in another thread there is the option to turn DRL's on or off. My question, is, when DRL is turned on in this features menu, does that override the "OFF" position on the truck's light stalk, leaving it effectively in "DRL" mode when the switch is in the "OFF" position?

The stalk has the "OFF" and "DRL" positions. My reason for asking is I require DRL's for importing the truck to Canada.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
