anyone know why the shifter on a 04 taco moves when you let foot off the brake? i have greased all lube points on the driveshaft, or is this normal.

Mine is an automatic and there is some play in the shift selector when releasing the brake pedal. Also depends on how hard you came to a stop because the yoke in the driveshaft will move forward and release upon acceleration.
I've replaced the plastic bushings in the shifter assembly which will help if you have a lot of play, but again, it's normal for the shifter to have some play.
