    I did it in mine, not using any of the stock wiring but I'm running an amp.

    What exactly did the amp help with? I was planning on getting one, but my speakers sound great and are plenty loud as is.

    Louder. Mine is a single cab and you can hear it coming up the street sometimes. But it's also a clean loud, most acoustic songs you can hear each string
