OP, grab that thing and unscrew it. It's a push-plug that holds the kick panel down.

They don’t really unscrew. Sometimes they will catch the threads and back off. It’s just a clip. As already stated it hold the kick panel in place. I seriously can’t believe some of the things people think of.

Your plug must be a ho with a big hole, because mine will not pull off by hand. Grip is too tight. I have to unscrew it 3 or 4 turns to get it off, but it does just push back on with some force.

did you get new brake lines and control arms? the thread that this topic is on has a bunch of people saying they had extra things that were under carriage parts replaced with the frame and leaf springs.

I can see where someone might think those two items go together. The black knob on the floor holds the kick panel on. Unscrew it ccw with your fingers, then just push it back on.

well it might not be clear to me bc im 19 and this is my first vehicle. didnt take a closer look myself or i probably wouldve realized that too. i know what a bolt looks like, maybe not one with a plastic head with a pattern that looked oddly similar to a piece i found in my glovebox.

Lol it's an innocent enough question. One of these days I'll dig up that TW FB thread where someone ran a microphone wire from it to the engine compartment as a joke.

All good man! Dont want you to think I jumped down your throat or anything. Things get misconstrued over the internet.

Lets get back you owning a taco at 19. You are one lucky kid!

Female threads=nut, male threads=bolt. I know it's kinda confusing, but that plastic thing is a nut.

Yes on brake lines, control arms, and new shocks also. It rides better than ever. It feels like a new one. I replace the bumper support bar as well but didn't discover how rusted it was before the frame replacement. Also, check your trailer hitch out real well. I wire wheeled mine and rattle canned it. My bumper support bar was rusted through. I would have never seen it if I didn't remove the bumper step guard to clean up the trailer hitch bolts.

WOW! I can't believe the dealer let you drive that off the lot. That thing looks dangerous. There have been other TW members that have driven a new 3rd gen for several months til their frame came in.
