We just got back from the north rim, and once again the trailer performed flawlessly. We made our way from flagstaff down to marble canyon where we stopped to grab a bite to eat out of the ARB, then proceeded on to the north rim. We had planned on doing widforss/point sublime trail but after speaking with the park ranger that was issuing us our camping passes we decided to make our way north to FS 22 and head out that way. Ranger said the trail would take us a solid two hours but I wanted to shake this thing down. We aired down to 18 psi on the truck and trailer and cooked it at almost 40 the whole way in, didn’t break a sweat. First night we got to stay at Fire point, and it was spectacular!

After getting up late and making a slow move out of that campsite we headed down to Point Sublime. The road was totally passable in any 2wd vehicle save for a few spots with a little flex to get over a few things, Trailer ate it up with zero issues. We decided to ignore the park rules as it was almost 5 pm and figured we wouldn’t see a ranger till the following morning, so we decided to camp out on the point. The wife didn’t want to camp right out on the edge so we pulled back in a 100 yds or so and setup with a easterly view. About five minutes after getting setup. Three other fellows from Tennessee had the same idea and wanted to share the point. Amanda and I were happy to oblige as they were super friendly and had fully kitted rigs as well.

John (@middletenesseeoverland) Ken (@Kenstaroni) And Daniel (@tn_4runner) were all from Tennessee and we’re super nice. They were out on a two week trip through the southwest.

The third night we moved in to just off the 67 to a campsite overlooking marble canyon and cliff dwellers and set up shop.
All in all it was a great trip! Ready for the next one already!

T-minus 9 days and counting to CO or NM depending on if the passes get cleared or not.

Colorado was a resounding success, Trailer worked well, added some tie downs on top of the fenders to hold Bertha, but short of that she's just getting used.

We Pulled into Silverton only to find almost zero camping because most areas had been closed or damaged by the winters snowfall. The night of the fourth we had a very hard landing after watching fireworks off Mineral Creek Rd wayyyyyy at the top. We camped in a parking lot at a trailhead to some alpine lakes, Rough night to say the least.

Got woken up twice by rangers telling us we couldn't camp there and then he proceeded to say it was ok Just for tonight because it was Midnight and I had an infant, 6 adults, 7 dogs in my party, kindly thanked him and told him we would be out super early.

Found this great campsite off of lime creek rd, from the 550 just south of silverton

Everywhere you could camp in Silverton was occupied including everything off of ophir pass rd and mineral creek rd.

We went to an old favorite site off off Cunningham gulch only to find the whole valley had been ravaged by avalanches, making most of our old sites inaccessible.

We spent a few days there and made day trips out, Went over ophir pass since it was the only one that was open at the time.

Found out Elizas not a fan of waterfalls when we went up to bridal veil

Grabbed a quick bite at Baked in Telluride and headed back over the pass

Still trying to get the sony dialed in

Then the next day we packed up and drove to canyon de Chelly to break up the drive a little

And camped in the campground there since eliza was not stoked to be in the car anymore

Checked out some of the canyon before heading back to Flag

Grabbed a quick sandwich outside Ganado before making the last stretch home.

    Next trip, MOAB

But first back home to create a few kitchens and some furniture!

Finally got another set of rims for the trailer and spares for both. Now I need a small block lift for the trailer to level it out.

Got the 2” spacer lift in, so I installed it today and fixed a few things on the tent.
