Hello I am a new member but this is my second Tacoma. I own a 2014 Silver Tacoma and love it. I’ve not done anything to my ‘14 until I tried to install LED lights in the bed. Huge fail three times! Looking for some help. I first used the sticky backing that comes with the light strip. The glue didn’t hold. I then tried hot melt glue. This worked for a couple of months then it all came down. I then tried two-sided tape and they stayed up until morning. All three times I glued it to the fiberglass bed.
    Does anyone have any suggestions?
    Thanks

Did you try gluing them to the bottom of the tie down rails?

    Thanks for your reply.
No I only tried putting them on the fiberglass sidewalls. The two sided tape stayed put. Unless I’m not seeing something here, I’m not sure how that might help.

The surface of the composite bed is fairly slick. The tie down rails are metal so the adhesive may adhere to that better.
