Just installed a K&N cold air intake and Magnaflow cat-back exhaust on my 2004 3.4L Tacoma. Now the check engine light is on. I had it scanned - getting a catalyst error from the O2 sensor (too much unburned fuel in the exhaust). Anyone else have this problem? Suggestions (reflash ECU?). Any help would be appreciated since the other alternative is a new catalyst at about $800.00.

    Thanks!

I would check your paperwork about the catalyst thing- The warranty on the emissions parts is extended on a lot of cars (My scion had a 8 years/80K emissions warranty....)

    KMANAZ,
You probably ought to put it back to stock before you go in for the emission's warranty.

i wouldnt get a new cat yet unless you are positive thats the problem it could be a bad o2 sensor, exhaust leak, or the cat but make sure before you spend too much when the fix could be simple
