Your dealer will use customer supplied oil when they perform an oil change? That's not that big of a raise in liability for the dealer at all.........

Yeah...I'm amazed when I read these comments about customer-supplied parts. Dealers and Indy shops in my area will laugh you out the door if you show up with your own parts. Shops make $$$ off labor and parts. That Synthetic Oil or any other supplied part likely ends up in someone else's vehicle.

    OME and worth every penny.
Some people used to use (some may even still) something called 'synthetic blend'. Kind of like mid grade gasoline.

Oh no! The engine already imploded. If I give you $2000 will you still take it?

The value of your Tacoma just plummeted. Better sell it quick before it bottoms out

odd ,but I ordered some new Rear Sway Bar links for my FJ, since my Local Repair shop told me that I could get them cheaper then THEY could... but they would install them for just a flat rate price... and they did.

Reminds me of the time i was at my favorite restaurant and as i walked towards the rest room, and past an open door to the kitchen, i witnessed the chef secretly substituting Folgers crystals for their regular coffee.

You have absolutelynothing to worry about. Your truck engine has clean oil. That's the most important thing!!! Don't give it another thought.

Had 350,000 miles on my old truck using Castro Syn / Reg blend, the guy I sold it to is still driving it and I tried to buy it back, but he wouldn't part with it.

I guess you are going to have to sell it and get a 3rd gen. (or change the oil in 5k)

Surprised nobody picked up on this... 5 year old Tacoma doesn't get free oil. He paid for it, then Dealer happily replaced it with OP's oil.

Yeah, either way they're going to sell their oil. I bet that case of oil is sitting in someone's car right now.

I still do a 50/50 blend in all the farm equipment. It buys me an extra hundred hours or so between oil changes. I think you're good, dude.
