I like to keep two separate kits. One boo boo kit and one trauma kit. I don't want to be digging through bandaids and benadryl if I need a tourniquet to stop major bleeding.

My boo boo kits have all your regular non life threatening stuff like bandaids, assorted bandages, splints, prep pads, spinter remover, tape, gauze, blister kit, pain/stomach/allergy meds, etc.

My trauma kit has tourniquets, combat gauze, pressure bandages, chest seals, decompression needles, airways, emergency blanket, etc.
