    I didn’t do the refrigerator method because I don’t have enough space in my refrigerator. And yes they can be better than anything from a store. I got ten pints .when to local market and picked up A little more than 3 pounds. I think I have enough space for about half an hour for my fridge. I doubt they will last me all winter they are that good
