Sorry for your loss. I'll be a wreck sooner rather than later I'm sure, uncle is still breathing but there really isn't much of a fight left for him. Life is definitely there to be celebrated, wish the rest of my family would understand that.

Thanks for the wishes everyone! Guy had dozens of cows, some horses, tractors, trucks and literally barns full of things. Gonna be a process clearing it out, and most likely going to have to do an auction. Gonna do our best to get the MIL every penny she should though.

    Good luck!
That's one thing I'm terrified of, when the GF's father eventually dies. He's got multiple garages/sheds/barns full of stuff, and a lot of it is worn-out/broken junk, but some of it is perfectly functional. Clearing it out after the fact is going to be a nightmare, separating the trash from the treasures.

Yep, just lost a mud flap. Skids did their job and got me home safe, but I've got a cracked weld on the transfer case skid. The upside is that we now know that an armored stock double cab long bed can get up Rowe Mountain

my condolences. Sudden deaths are hard on the family but realize he didn't really suffer.

We go through life knowing that the end is coming and we're sure we'll have time to get everything squared away...and then poof...we left it all on the table for everyone else to sort out. Every weekend we play the "I'll get to that soon..."

So sorry to hear. Losing family is the worst!
X2. We went through it both ways when my wifes and my dads passed away. Quick is harder on the family to process. Slow is easier for the family but obviously harder on the person because they suffer.
