Agreed, but gratuitous ridicule helps no one. It’s only purpose seems to be to make those with faults of their own feel better about themselves.

You said the gauge goes down a 1/4 tank after 16 miles. Have you topped it up to see how much gas has been used?

Ugh no. We have no clue what he is saying. He has tried on multiple occassions to express his issue but for whatever reason can not use proper english. Is that our fault or his?

What he says is his responsibility, how we respond is ours. Poor communication skills may not be a matter of choice but rude behavior is. One shows a lacking in one kind of education, the other shows lack of another. IMHO, neither is praiseworthy. An entire generation of children has grown up thinking this is acceptible and now we have the internet as it is today, equal parts bad language skills and bad behavior.

Drive it until your gas light comes on.

Put normal gas in it (87 or 91 octane at the most for our trucks, there's a book that does specify this) until the pump clicks (do not top off).

Record how many gallons it took.

On your odometer, set one of your trip trackers to zero.

Drive normally until you get back to the gas light.

    Check your trip meter.

Divide the miles by how many gallons you put in.

Then report back and some people who are smarter than me will likely have very good advice.

(it's extremely unlikely the frame recall did anything but who knows)

A few additions to make me feel cool.
For clarity I do not think English is the OP's first language. I am guilty of poking fun so I am not calling anyone out but I want to be clear that it was in good fun and being entertained along with trying to help the OP solve his issue. Good luck getting it resolved OP and I apologize if I offended you. Not my intention, just having some fun along with trying to help you out.

I mean the OP is dong far better than I would be if I were asking the same question in Spanish!

In that case he deserves it! The area code in his user name is Puerto Rico.

Isn't racing gas leaded? If you ran leaded gas, even just one tank, through your Tacoma that's going to cause problems and might explain your poor MPGs. Depending on the timeline of the whole ordeal I guess, just throwing out a possibility.

Leaded gas in a car designed for unleaded will wreak havoc on the emissions stuff...cats and sensors mostly
