Good stuff. Some boats in my marina never seem to move all season. I'm sure they have tons of growth. A lot of those folks are the 3 times a year boaters. Memorial Day, Independence Day, and Labor Day.

My cousin & his stepson use it alot. My brother & dad take it out occasionally. It doesn't sit much, someone uses it at least once a week.

That's perfect. Worst thing they can do is sit. I'll at the very least take mine for a quick ride once a week. Ethanol is a killer if it sits.

So last week, on Friday the 13th my Arlo garage cam goes off, about 30 minutes after we left for work. I check and it is a unmarked econoline van with a black guy driving and he had on a construction safety vest. He was scoping the truck.

I thought, ok, not terribly unusual and perhaps he is from the county or something looking for the new neighbors house. Maybe he is a utility guy or from Miss Utility or whatever.

My wife said delivery guy but of course I discounted that. Phhht. What does she know? She's a woman.

Saturday the 14th rolls around and now the Garage, then the Front Door and then the Garage cams all go off in that order. No doorbell, no knocking, and I am like damn neighbors pussy cat is back looking for field mice. So I bring up the feed, nothing, look at the recordings and it's the same van, and this time i get a clear view of the guy, with a device in his hand. Small device. Not the usually UPS digital signature tablet. So I run out there in my bare feet and PJs but by now he's gone. Damn!

So I look back at the recordings and see he went back into the woods, not out the only exit. So I waited.

As he went by I whistled. I can whistle very loud. It's an old 80's concert habit I perfected to the point people get angry with me at venues now. I laugh. Anyway........

So the guy is saying something out the window and I can't understand him, and I put my hand up to my ear to do the old man I can't hear you thing.

So he gets outta the van.

I immediately say "were you looking for someone at this house [pointing to mine] and who are you?

First he says he's from Amazon, and of course I am suspicious as fuck. He said I just dropped a package up at your front door. Then he showed me the pic he took on his phone as proof (ahhh, the small device).

Then without provocation he starts to go off about making deliveries to remote back woods locations like ours. He literally said "you should not place any orders during the winter because they wont be able to make it here and will have to send them all back". I shit you not!

The goes off even more complaining about the stress of the job, how hard it is making deliveries, how Amazon is stupid and sucks, and how it is even worse in the winter and dangerous because of the road conditions. Then he started going off about making deliveries to multi unit apartment complexes and "do you know how hard it is to run up and down all those steps with packages in your hands while looking for each and every unit?"

The more he talked the more I just said to myself, the garage is to far to make a run for so you are gonna have to rush this guy if he whips out a gun. I'm talking almost postal crazy at this point. So I basically agreed with him to be on his side so he would leave.

Yesterday I sold and helped move my wood burning stove to the new neighbors place back in the woods. Of course, we used my other neighbors mini excavator to lift it into the back of a Polaris and then from the Polaris to the flatbed cart I loaned him so they could move it around in the house while they do the installation.

What? You think this guy doesn't have enough brains to move a wood burning stove the easy way? Please.

So since this was the first time meeting the wife we talked for a while while the husband and my other neighbor with the excavator were looking at the she shed. Great people by the way. Both are Ex Marines, and they have three young chiterlings. We got to talking about what they should expect as far as weather and the snow and how I remove it from my house out to the main road and the other neighbor does the gravel drive and such. She asked about deliveries. Now I had already had the conversation with the husband and he told me he experienced the exact same thing. Well the wife was like "yea, he was going off and said we better not place any orders over the winter, bla bla bla!" She was like F that! I pay for prime my shit better be delivered.

Well, today I called Amazon. Now, the very last thing I am is a rat. I have never rated on anyone for the fuck of just ratting. I have to have a good reason, like anyone being in danger, etc. If I can't squelch the sitchiation my damn self I will call for backup. But this guy was pushing way too many warning buttons. I thought to myself. What if this nut decides to throw a package through my windshield? Yes, I would have proof but I don't need or want that headache. What if he decides to lay the package nicely on my stoop, takes his proof of delivery pic, and then decides fuck this shit, this bitch is mine for my trouble. We buy a lot of stuff through Amazon. We work too damn much to go to the stores. Hell, I bought Quaker Instant Oatmeal the other day for the wife. It's so much cheaper than buying it at the store. And it's impossible to get a 48 pack of just strawberry cream. They want to mix the peach, or apple cinnamon or maple. I just want damn strawberry cream!

So the guy that took the call at Amazon was immediately like O-M-G we are so sorry, please hold on I am calling logistics. I was like hmmmm.

So after about a minute or two a woman from logistics gets on the phone and again, apologizes over and over again then proceeds to take my story down. She asks for the tracking number so she pin point the driver. I thought fucking great, this shit is gonna come back on me ten fold. She assured me in no way would he ever know who complained and most likely since I know he complained to me and my neighbors, he has been complaining to everyone in the hood. At that point I told her I was relieved but not really worried because besides having motion and sound activated cameras on every side of my house, I was congenial the entire time. (mostly because I didn't want to be a notch on the side of his van).

She assured me that they will either approach him directly and reprimand him, or send a internal memo to all drivers reminding them about the delivery policies they agreed to when they took the job and most likely have a meeting in person with all district managers to remind their drivers as well.

So if the guy doesn't get fired I am sure he will not be bitching to us anymore. And they told me if it ever happens again to contact them immediately and the appropriate actions will be taken.

I told the woman that I will just be happy to receive my packages unopened, undamaged and on time. She assured me that would not be an issue, no matter what the weather is.

So to fuck with the been there a while neighbor I told him I called today and said I was him. LOLOLOL He laughed too and said he didn't care, he would sic his labs on him. Of could we both know they would just lick him to death. The new neighbors though, they have a full grown sheppard and we were told they need to get it use to us all with a muzzle before they can trust her out of it.

On the upside I sold a wood burning stove that has been taking up so much room in my garage for the last 15 years so I am very happy about that. I am that much closer to some new tires, or armor or a cap.

How was that Brett? Interesting enough?

I am sure I would hurt myself, or burn something to the ground. You should have seen when I brought my propane torch home from Harbor Freight! I couldn't wait to use it. Someone told me if you heat up the holes in your driveway before applying the pavement patch it sticks better. I heated up the holes till they were on fire, then I heated up the patch after I put it down. Meh, it worked ok. What works better is spread play sand over the top of them nice and thick, and then it dries up better and more solid.

I don't know jack shit about welding so I am afraid to buy one. I'd rather pay someone to do it for me. I have some plate steel if I wanted to I could build a small smoker. Of course I wouldn't be able to move it, so maybe save that piece for a bumper or something like that and buy a smoker.

Or since I have a nice gas grill buy something like this, or two:
