    What's up yall!

Been a while..... I'm finally tired of my third gen runner and am trying to get back into a second gen. This time a manual after I sell the runner. They sent me a video was hoping to see if you yall had any opinions on it. It's an 07 with 136k said they would do 16k out the door for me. Here's the video. Seems there is either dirt or some rust. Carfax said 3 owners, came from Nebraska. It's now up in Rock Hill. Anyway here's the video.

Avoid at all cost from Nebraska. Lived there for a very short period of time 8 months. Vehicles even as new as 2-3 years old full of rusted doors, rocker panels and fenders. Do not even need to watch video. Not only rust issues there roads are really bad so expect all sorts of issues.

Well the guy in the video said something along the lines of "I feel like half of this is dirt".... Wrong, that sure looks like rust... However, the 2007 may be eligible for a new frame...
If you can pick it up for 16 with a fresh frame... it may just be worth considering.

the rust on the rear axle is a real turn off in my eyes...

my initial suggestion would be keep on looking, there are some really nice used tacos out there for sale these days

I had an 06 that i sold in 2013 with 160,000 miles. Never had any issues at all. I still regret selling it (wife’s fault).

I grew up in Nebraska and agree that the roads and environment are harsh. Not sure what the KBB is but i would think there is a better runner out there for 17k.

I usually do like the "Sport" package Tacos, even if they are 13 yrs. old, but this one isn't too impressive. 135K is fine, it's just the truck & the price. You asked for opinions, I'm not impressed. It's your decision, Good luck on whatever you decide.

Personally I’d never buy anything from any state where it snows and the roads are salted.

Things I noticed, dented fender, worn out shift boot, dirty interior. Could be detailed but makes me believe the truck wasn’t very well taken care of.

Go back after it gets cleaned up to better evaluate it's condition. I actually expected the frame rust to be worse than shown for a 12yo Nebraskan tacoma. It does have a TPMS light on but likely caused by the spare's tire pressure. IMO, I think it should be in the $13-14K range.

Changed all drain plugs to Dimple Magnetic plugs UNI filter on air pump
    Oh no!
It's got a Fram Ultra filter.
Filter can do a lot of miles but in reality looking at the rest of the truck I have to assume that the oil filter was not changed for at least 3 or 4 oil changes just my opinion good luck with your decision. People tend to forget the filter that is capable for extended oil chsnges

Pretty cool that dealership sent you a video, that being said.

That is rust but at the sametime it does look like dirst as well, oh, and those tires are shit.

Wonder if they just serviced the diff?

lets get real here for a second before traveling half way across the country to buy a truck.

OP lives in south carolina (its rather wet there)
the car is from nebraska (they get snow there)

heeding advise from someone who lives in a arid climate on the topic of rust...

For 16k, If you are truly interested, get them to put some new tires on it, change the fluids, give it a good undercarriage wash and overall detail and see what is what.
Looks like more dirt than rust to me?

    Good luck with it man.

I’d pass, too many concerns (whether true or not) on too common of a truck. I have a 2010, 135k mile TRD with no rust, second owner and all records since new. IF it were for sale (it’s not) I’d let it for dor $16-17K and consider that fair. I say that to say this; you can find better than that truck.

It's hard to say. Have it cleaned up and drive it. Take a good look around inside and outside and then make your call from there. Hard to tell with the video, or any pictures they provide.
If everything was in good shape, I would consider the $16k.
The 3 owners concerns me a bit, just because. But that's my personal thoughts. You may be able to work the price down a bit depending on what you find and that it's a manual. Not many people buy manuals or know how to drive them. Good luck on your search.
