I kid I kid, my brother wears 9's. I can say that though it's not as big of a deal as it was in 8th grade.. I'm always surprised when I'm like you can wear these what size are you, and you get a 9'er back, lol

Even my grandmother wore 9 1/2 boots. What’s with this guy and his tiny feet? I mean, can he even walk on them?

Sorry if this suggestion was made, i didn’t read the whole thread...OEM steps are good for my family and someone has likely replaced their one or two year old ones with sliders and would sell them in a heartbeat.

Same here but they’re more of a running board than an actual step.

If you get the N-Fab 3 inch tube steps they will not have the big gap and will cover the frame. N-Fab has 2 inch and 3 inch. The 2 inch is the one that leaves the gap.

SOS Concepts is having a 15% off sale right now. Perhaps a set of flat sliders , flat meaning non angled, will suit your needs. As you said they are close to the body not affecting angles much yet still providing protection and a step surface..if you don’t want or need the fill plates perhaps grip tape would fit the bill. They are at least worth checking out. Good luck in your search

Subbing this thread. Very interested in some sliders, that kick out enough to have some step capabilities.

Many fit that bill. If you have welding capabilities the 4x innovations are also a good option. Mobtown makes a beefy slider as does SOS which as I mentioned are on sale right now

OP idk if it has been mentioned here but the Tyger star steps meh fit your description perfectly. They aren’t sliders but look like them they bolt up like step bars but sit tight to the rockers and are pretty stout for a step they are not sliders but I believe they are also $300 or less

I have a set of BAMF sliders with 0% and plates added. The “step” functionality is ok. But they are basically $1000. I like them.

A neighbor had them on his Tacoma. I was impressed they’re not sliders nor do they claim to be but they look great and sit tight to the body. For the price point they’re a nice choice and look like they’re exactly what the OP is looking fir

Nope. They are flat. Here's a pic I found of them on our 4Runner.
