I was looking at the Redlines today. Did you use the rivets and do they hold the brackets tightly enough?

 

I did use their rivets and let me tell you the brackets are solid, my hand still hurts from the rivet gun. I leaned in on and pushed the brackets as hard as I could before I put the struts on and they didn’t budge.

I have the Redlines installed for two years. All good. No loosening no lose in performance at all! Kept the "STICK" just in case though. You know black-up!

 

Yes it does my truck has a nasty squat going on now!

Sure, I got a roll of mesh wire from Home Depot in the gutter isle, sprayed it black. Remove passenger side of vinyl tray at bottom of windshield (one body clip). Bent mesh around the cabin air duct. Trimmed it. Put two small bolts through the front of mesh and through two holes in the metal (came that way oem). Put tape around edges so they don’t scratch. That’s about it. I did try to silicone the rear against the firewall since it’s not a flat surface (ridge in middle) but that turned into a f’ing disaster and I had to take the whole thing off and clean up silicone from EVERYWHERE. Don’t try silicone.

 

Been there with other projects.

Not psych ops, more of a sympathetic chuckle! I’ve redone all the trim in my house and plenty of truck and other house projects. Me and caulk are old nemesis's!

Officially have had the Softopper for two weeks now and I couldn’t be happier. Highly recommended to anyone on the fence. Plus, I feel like it looks more at home on a long bed.

Can’t wait to finally wear out these tires so I can go with a new tire/rim setup (wife permitting, of course).

 

how easy is it to get into the side of the bed with the softtopper? Is it even possible to just unsnap the sides?

 

Ok so far..

swapped the cheese grater grill for Taco Garage’s matte black. 10% across the front windows and 35% on the back to match across the board. Threw on some predator steps last week. Today, just got my 275 KO2’s/TRD pro matte black rims and Bilstein 5100 upgrade. I’m really digging how it’s coming out. Sorry for the dark pics in my garage and at night time but this thing looks so beasty in the dark.
