Good morning. Another day full of meetings at work, but supposed to still do actual work. I hate meetings :ballchain:

Surprised you have the Frenchies that far West. Had a lot of experience with them growing up on both sides of the border. Usually totally different than the rest of the Canadians who have the well deserved reputation as the nicest people in the world.

Unless they have a stick on the ice

Or like Minnesota nice, all bets are off once you put their ass behind the wheel of a vehicle.

Sunday shot 5 stand and most of the guys are retired and the where are you going for winter thing came up. Only a couple of them really do the true snowbirding thing. It is expensive. Still have to pay someone to check on the house for heat and water lines not froze, and pay to have the driveway cleaned. If you don't some crack head will figure out no one is home and clean out the place even in the middle of no where. It isn't cheap. Most said they will take a month or so trip South to harass their kids and spoil grandkids in the dead of winter and then come back. Sounds like we will have full squads for skeet this winter. But only if it is above zero which usually isn't that many days. Fuck just typing that makes me dread it already.

Yep, I'm thinking 2-4 week jaunts down south a couple times a Winter will do the trick for us.

... and easy with those 4 letter words, Sailor...I mean "f" bombs are one thing, but we'll not stand for willy-nilly throwing about of the "z" word. :drevil:

    Morning y'all,

I was asked if I could take a Flight Engineer position yesterday on our TICO Belle to the Bahamas. I checked my passport and got all my docs together and went.

Beautiful flight over and back at 8000 Ft, was about 59-65 degrees going and coming from the islands at that altitude.. We went to Marsh Harbor on the Great Abaco Island on the northeast end of the Bahama chains out there. This area was hit the hardest by the east side of the storm, 225Mph winds for about 48 hours, not to mention the 20 foot wall of water that ran over the area for 20 plus hours..

Leaving Marsh Harbor, we flew low and slow over the north end of the islands, Treasure Cay one of the Diving hotspots of the world was totally submerged for hours. I snagged these pictures on our flight back.. Absolute devastation!! No way could any humans that were left have survived this catastrophic natural disaster.

Anyone can always help out the cause from the VAC main web page: www.valiantaircommand.com , or our Facebook page: by donating to fuel keeping the Belle in the air for these missions… 100 % of the donations go to fuel and oil to keep us flying supplies over the islands..

I'll be going a few more times as flight crew are needed. I've sure this will go on for months as the Bahamians begin to rebuild..

I think your bad sleep habits have been magically transferred to me....might sleep hard for a couple hours then up to toss and turn for 3 hours, cat nap until my alarm goes off.

but what would you have to talk about with us if it wasn't for the moron reports?

Had a mouse get into Runner a couple years back while out camping. He sampled my granola bars, rice, and wine.
Went home and took everything except the insurance card, registration and manual out of him then proceeded to scrub everything down with Lysol. Sets traps every night for a week but got nothing. I also found these little packs of peppermint scented sawdust that's supposed to repel mice (they don't like peppermint) so I have a bunch of those I throw under the seats every few months. No problems since.
    does that happen often? o_O

    good luck Andy.

My bad, this was the appointment to see if we can drill.

    That will now happen Friday.

I get to think about it for a few days

It runs. Not exactly like how Toyota envisioned it. Barely got it started but was able to regen the HV battery. Save him a little time and labor on that. So now all he needs is a fuel tank. Let’s see what he says
