I originally ordered a Pioneer AVH 501 EX from Crutchfield. Had trouble with steering wheel controls not working. Was sent an idatalink interface to replace original crux but then my back up camera didn't work. I ended up returning it for a full refund but now I am back to a stock radio head unit.

I was told by Crutchfield tech support that the steering wheel controls went to digital from analog in the 2019 year so they will have to update their records.

Can anyone recommend for the 2019 year specifically what head unit they have replaced their's with that retains the steering wheel controls and back up camera please?

I appreciate everyone on this forum's input.

I have the Kenwood DMX905S and it retained everything except the microphone which I had to use the included Kenwood one.

I used the Maestro RR and TO2 harness

my 2019 used masetro Idatalink like the years before. Nothing special about the 19 vs the previous years stereo wise.

So far I like the kenwood better than my pioneer avh-2300nex. It has a capacitive screen (like your cell phone) instead of a resistive on the pioneer and wireless android auto, which is sort of buggy but nice when it works.

I chose the Kenwood because I can hook up my front camera and map a custom steering wheel control and display the front camera on demand
