Yea I knew Mateo ran it as well. They always confuse me man. Bc the instructions that came with the lift state bottom ring is 2.5, next rung is 3.2 and the two after that are strictly for winch/bumper applications. But all the time people talk about having 3 options and max lift is 2.5. So I’m confused AF

 

But the instructions state the bottom ring is 2.5 inches in lift which it comes ore set up that way and that’s about what I got thebday I installed it

 

These are the instructions I received in my packaging

 

I think since you have the bumper on the front you should be fine to put it on the 3.2 inch setting without any ride quality loss or very minimal. It does say that the settings are taken with stock vehicles in mind. Added weight (which you have) can be use for the top two grooves. But just to be safe i would only go up one groove.

 

That’s the thing. It says they’re for added weight. I think the part where it says to get further than 3.2 lift is if you’re trying to gain more lift without any added weight bc then you’re overworking your shock

Ok so I talked to a tech. He says the 3rd ring is to accommodate extra weight for the first rung (2.5) and the 4th rung is to accomadte weight for the 2nd rung (3.2) and recommends I use the third run to get my 2.5 inches of lift back

 

I talked to them about that and they said it works fine with 2 inch lifts in the rear and will function fine with Dakar’s and other leaf packs of similar lift

 

That makes alot of sense now lol

 

It was him that said third notch in PM. After we discussed it. So, the whole issue is this kit I have was made for 2nd gen. I ordered a 3rd gen set from tacomabeast and didn’t realize they sent me a 2nd gen but it was over s year ago. Of course it physically fits but the 3rd gen one’s come higher off the bat. So I run the risk of binding bc I’m making a 2nd gen lift higher in a third gen set up that would sit higher if I had the proper kit.

 

I ordered the right kit. Ryan at Eibach says I should contact Mateo and he’ll make it right.

 

Hope you still have some replacement springs. Or maybe they'll let you keep the ones you have lol.

Well I contacted them and we will see. Mateo is a really good dude and I’m sure will rectify it. I still have my stock lift. But it would complicate things lol. I’ve had this kit on for almost a year lol

 

Yea he is. I was skeptical at first b/c of all the stuff that he pushes on isnsta and social media. I was thinking he was gonna be a douche. Man I couldn’t be more wrong. One of the nicest dudes I’ve ever met. Wanted to know all about my Tacoma story and how I got into tacos. Got to chat with him for like 10 min. I’m sure he will make it right man!

 

Yea I’ve met him twice at both Atlanta Takeovers and he was very personable and pleasant.
