Yeah my roof rack stole them....I've got a couple of S2s that I'll put there. I just need the time. Hopefully I'll have the rack wired up tonight with some output pictures. 51,800 lumens sitting up there. and thank you

Having grown up there, that place has always been sketchy.

Hmm, I work right up the street and get off at 6. Probably about time I start showing up to stuff.

I am interested in exploring the trails in that area but I do not want to go alone. I did Blakey Ridge yesterday with an instructor and to get comfortable with off roading in that situation. There were several trails off the ridge that I would like to explore. My taco is well set up but my experience is very limited.

I have explored most of the paved county roads from the Potomac to south of Nelleysford and from 29 into WV. Now I am interested in exploring all the unpaved ones. I just need to go with someone with experience to gain that myself. The instructor said that BR was an easy drive with little challenge for taco. For me it was an experience. But the explorer in me, wants to keep going!

I would go to Rapidan with you some time. It’s super easy. Basically a gravel/dirt road. Not a “trail” at all. Some good fly fishing on there, too.

Great...let me know when you might be available. It looks as if a couple of the roads join skyline drive. I also found a small church with picnic benches under a tree.

You must have only gone to the side with the cabins. Yeah you can drive a subie up that part. None of it is really rough but can get pretty tight unless they trimmed a lot back

Question for yea.. Have you checked in to where to get said bottle filled/refilled? I would do that first before purchasing one.

Reason I ask is, years ago I was looking do the same. Local places to fill the tank only did bottle swaps. 2 different places told me the same thing. Also said if I brought in my own bottle, It would be sent off to be checked, then filled if good. with about a week and a half turn around. Then being charged for a tank cert. and fill.. I finally said screw it.

If you are serious about.. check with ETA (https://www.etaoffroad.com/) down there and see if they know where to get them filled or have a lead on a place.

As far as tanks, what are you looking at? Just curious.

I was looking at powertank, because their regulators are simply the best. They have a kit where you buy the regulator/hose/handle etc. Everything but the tank, so that way you can do exchanges at the local shop instead of having to get a refill. This is the route I would go. The 20 lb tank from the local roberts oxygen (where I get my weld gas) is about $40 for a swap, and that would last me 8 wheeling trips. I think at most I'd have to swap twice a year.
