    What have I done to my 2nd gen? Survived 36 inches of rain Imelda decided to drop on my home and then evacuate...This is definitely the love of my love/hate relationship with the 6in lift.

    I’ve seen similar on dealer lots for 19k with more mileage. Was thinking of $18k obo.

    Really it was pretty easy. Hardest parts were getting the axle out and then in. In pissed me off. Spent 2 hours with a hammer beating it in. The bushing removal and install was easy.

    I like the over-the-Softtopper rack! I've got a similar idea for my DCLB w/Sofftopper. Do you have any more detailed pics of it? Thanks!

    I found this thread here as a great guide. Last post I added to the thread the bushing lengths and stuff I used.
    Then in my build thread starting on post #44 I have more pictures of the build process as well as listing out the different pieces I used and how they fit into the process.

    I am stress testing the rack and tent yesterday and today and so far it has not moved one bit and the rack is super sturdy!

    You may have better luck with putting the C-clamp in the vise, and letting the other end of the driveshaft rest on the bench.

    As attractive as that suggestion is, the rest of the bench is covered in large bench tools and a small milling machine

    @Scott B.
    I took the time and cleared some of the smaller bench tools, and mounted the vise as you suggested.

    So much easier, less juggling. Thanks for the suggestion, I appreciate it.
