This has little to do with Apple and more to do with headunit manufacturers. I can guarantee you that if apple made a headunit it would seamlessly integrate (wirelessly) with your phone. Bluetooth can support the bandwidth necessary for carplay, but as you know, Apple products don't always interface nicely with non-apple hardware.

I don't think the chrome is as bad some people make them out to be. The Chrome reflects most of the ambient light so it won't look chrome all the time.

Yes, my wife and I did that when we bought her Volvo. We paid about $1500 less than MSRP. They bought us two economy plus tickets on SAS from Minneapolis to Gothenburg, Sweden. We got free transfers too and from the hotel the hotel paid the first night we were there and a free dinner at the Michelin starred restaurant in the hotel. After that, we got to drive our car around Europe. They pay for 21 days of insurance and you can buy more if you want it. We did 10 days in Sweden, Norway and Denmark then ended up back in Gothenburg. Left our car at the factory and then flew home. About 45 days later our car was here.

It is very much a real thing and a hell of an experience if you can swing it. The best part is you truly "order" your car, including packages and options that you can't get here.

I’ll try to take some interior shots but I got the base off road. No tech package. The dealer I bought from wanted WAY too much for the Tacomas equipped with the tech package. I couldn’t justify another $5k for all that fancy stuff.

Coming from a 2016 Tacoma, the transmission on the 2020 feels pretty good. I haven’t driven it enough to notice any significant or major differences.

The truck isn’t crazy different compared to past model years, but it’s enough to make it much better for a daily driven truck.

you can buy out of state via CA but you cant drive it off the lot without paying the insane taxes. only way to avoid the tax is to truck it across state lines and have it delivered.

Some dealers give a good quote over the phone or net. Some don't. But you won't know what the best deal possible is until you are there, give an offer,,, and they say no and let you walk out. At that dealer of course.
I research and when I think I know what the best deal I can get I use that number and have proof on hand in case they ask, and they usually do. Yes dealers are different. And I wouldn't drive 70 miles to try out this on a new 2020 OR fully loaded as I have already been told msrp only from one dealer and 900 over invoice from another dealer. I had one dealer tell me 200 over msrp on an OR loaded then change that offer 5 days later. So this 2020 just arrived still have 19 on the lots taco scenario is unique. Anything within a grand of invoice for a new on the lot vehicle sounds and has proven so far to be an acceptable offer Imho,,,,And unless I learn something different tonight or tomorrow morning it's what I'm going with tomorrow to the dealer with 70 miles away.
I believe only negotiating over the net or phone can yield very good results. But not always the best results.
Not that I try for the best results every time. Just one I'm happy with.

I forgot to mention email, I also forgot to mention text as well. But I did mention net. Someone as smart as you should have caught that. Same as a phone call contact. Not the same thing as there in person.
Your coming off like a know it all punk. Am I coming off like a know it all old Man? Because if I am, I apologize.

Just noticed a dealer in my home town is offering 2020 ORs for about $2k off MSRP. The high pricing of the 2020s had me back to looking at 2019s, but at $2k off and some non-premium versions with LED headlights have me thinking 2020s again.
