Bed Lighting

If this has been covered already, I can't find it, but I feel like it must have been like 300 times. If so, feel free to give me a link.

I'm going to get a soft top with the new black fabric side panels. It will block the cab's bed light, so I'll need some LEDs in the bed. Any made for easy installation? Recommendations?

Anyone have these bed lights and a soft top? I haven't installed the lights yet because I've got a Bestop Softop for Truck 2 on order, and they won't be out until mid-October. I'm wondering if the LED strip will be where the softop clamps need to be. The Softop 2 uses the same framing as the old model, but I don't have one to compare to.

For my hard shell cap, I used some LED modules made by a company called Sloan. They are designed for the sign industry to back-light channel letters (modern version of neon and incandescent), but they work great for automotive applications since they run on 12VDC and can be mounted just about anywhere.
I cut two lengths for my project - one for the nose of the bed and one for the back, over the tailgate. There are five modules on each string (see photo) and they provide more than enough light when you're camping or looking for something at night.

Color temperature is cool white. Wiring was easy since my hard cap already had a 12VDC source from the main wiring of the truck to power its wimpy, single-bulb dome light.
