Every august they do a throwback night with late models... Full on throwback schemes and 276 laps of racing... Its like darlington for late models

 

I'll definitely try to make it next year.

 

2017 Schemes and they seem to get better each year, staying much more accurate than the Darlington Throwback theme:

So in a whirlwind of "hey wouldn't it be stupid if..." and then the realization that "Maybe the thing could totally happen," and then a couple of phone calls, texts, and emails...
do you guys uh, wanna sponsor a Cup team for a race?
It's surprisingly cheap. We could get TW on a rear quarter panel of a car for a race for not much money. I'm willing to spearhead the deal if TW is on board and we crowdsource the funding. My work does a lot in media promotion and PR. One of my clients sponsored Premium Motorsports at Bristol.
I'll tell you right now we won't get on a Gibbs car BUT, we could do something with Matt D or Joey Gase, as they're more backmarker Toyota drivers and thus, cheaper to sponsor.
If we got good buy-in, we could probably get a rear deck lid on a Gander Outdoors truck, possibly even a Kyle Busch affiliated truck.

 

Rear lower quarter on Premium is $300.

Depending on the sponsorship package, meet & greet, cold passes/hot passes are part of the deal. I’m thinking if TW wanted to get in on something, maybe sponsoring a Tundra in the Atlanta truck race would be a cool deal. We could have a TW meet up at the track. Tailgate, and do the double-header.

 

Y’all I’m here at the Heartburn Turn at Charlotte and this is the most fun I’ve had at a stock car race in years. Folks yelling, jumping, high-fiving, getting into it! Track play by play guy is great and the action has been fantastic. Great bump-n-runs, well-hopping, outbreaking into turns, rubbing fenders!

 

Ran into a Bobby Allison on our way out. My 8yo said, “I have to admit, that was one HELL of a race!”
