Backseat covers (Dog owners reply)

First second gen post...had a 1st gen for 3 years and finally parted ways with it last Saturday. I picked up a ‘15 DCOR on Friday and I’m looking for good options to keep the backseat clean from dog hair and dirt. I’ve used a couple different cheap back seat covers that have not held up to my 95lb lab. What’s everyone using? Thanks ahead of time!

I fold the seats down and put a moving blanket down. It keeps hair off the seat and plenty of room for them to lay.

 

I just put a giant beach towel over my back seat with wet Okole seat covers

 

This is what I do as well if they’re riding in the cab. Usually, they’re in the bed under my shell.

 

Yeah buy a RTK kennel and strap it in the back. Helps if you have a cap. Safest way to ride for them and you. My pup has been doing it since day one. And then he gets to go more places with me because of that. We both enjoy it.

I got one off Amazon last year that attaches to the back head rests and to the front head rests with zip up ends that totally boxes in the rear seats, I think I paid 39 bucks for it, it's the best thing ever since my big dog doesn't travel well, I can take a pic after work

 

I had a moving blanket on the back seat for my 80 lb lab and all was fine until I had to stop a bit quicker than normal. She ended up in the seat well and was very hesitant to go in the truck after that. I stitched 4 web loops to the moving blanket so that I could hook the blanket over the front and rear headrests. It creates a hammock of sorts. She figured out fairly quickly that if she lays down up against the front seat backs, it is comfy and stable.

I used to use a cheap Amazon "hammock" style one that connected to the front seats. Didn't last long and wasn't really waterproof. I have since bought Carhartt seat covers for the whole truck and I absolutely love them. His hair is easy to vacuum off of them or I can toss them in the washer very quickly. The fit the backseats like skin and look awesome.

I have two kids that ride in the back seat. They are kinda like dogs. They certainly trash anything as well as a dog. Does that qualify me to reply?

 

My wife is a teacher and baby sitter. Yes, I'll back your claims up by stating that kids are harder on seats than dogs are. A little dirt and dog hair is much easier to remove than crayon, cola, boogers, and drool.

 

1: remove stock seats
2: buy goose gear rear seat delete plates
3: non skid mat & then dog bed

 

'Dog' and 'clean' rarely end up in the same sentence

I use one of the cheap Amazon Basics back seat covers. I made a removable plywood platform to create a large flat space over the back seat level with the console. My 75 pound lab loves it and likes to lay from the back onto the center console between the front seats.
