You can create a thread so people can follow. That's crazy to hear the motor blew. This camry motor struggles to push the Taco IMO.

 

Blue Lamin-x fog light tint



Stopped at a local auto Graphic/tint shop
Who supplies Lamin-x tint for lighting.

Bought a 1’x1’ sheet of Blue Lamin-x, cut it and applied it. Took 10 minutes to prep the fogs(cleaned with rubbing alcohol), cut pattern, apply.

I’ll create a thread this evening. Last I‘ve been told was there a manufacturing defect that essentially caused a huge amount of metal to clog up the ports that control the VVT and ended up causing the engine to blow. It sure makes me miss my old trusty 4.0.

 

I get "why" you would want blue Lamin-x to go with your body color. Unfortunately blue lights are reserved for law enforcement in every state that I know of. They would most certainly cause you a problem in my state. For one thing you wouldn't even pass a vehicle inspection here. Just sayin. Wish you luck with those.

 

They look purple to me.

 

Plus you gotta really wring this motors neck to make it move anywhere. I bet you were at 5k+ rpm when it blew.

 

I'm no expert, but I think this color defeats the purpose of the fog light and would increase glare due to the hue of the light vs. a white or yellow. Form should follow function, not the other way around.

 

Went out to clean my windshield today and i always step up on my door sill to reach the center .. look up and notice the roof molding on drivers side is missing???
... i am kind of OCD with my truck so that is going to bug me

 

Reminds me that I should glue mine down before the snow starts falling. Had one come half-way out on a really windy day.

 

Now I have to start looking at my roof every day!

 

Mine pops off after every car wash, luckily haven't lost it yet.
