$15 is not bad at all, a month to try experiment and if not working send it right on back

If you're going to go that far to apply monthly, why not use a product that has more longevity, get the larger bottle of course:

That's marketing for you. One issue is as in the video I posted, you need to try to strip down and clean whatever surface you're applying it to for it to have any longevity. The other thing is taking your truck through the touchless wash. This should be done sparingly, next to the sun the high strength cleaner in the touchless wash is very harsh on trim.

my trim is almost 1/4 century old (its usually been garaged out of the elmements (but not always!)), i have only started using the touchless wash this past winter with a monthly pass
i have just been trying to imitate rain i guess since it has been rather dry here for the past month or two, way north of here got the worst of the September storms

Yeah, I get that but when you post on the forums you got to figure someone else might need the advice since this is going to happen to pretty much every car/truck out there. Now an even better tip is to use the products mentioned earlier in the tread on top of the restorer:
Use one of these after the Solution Finish has fully cured and you're happy with how it looks. Add these on top and maybe the touchless wont fade it so fast.

I detail a fleet of my own vehicles and a lot of old detailer told me about using PENETROL years ago. It is mixed into oil based paint to smooth out the brush marks. I know...I know, but it works. My black plastic looks like new for months. I just rub it on.

Good to know. I have some solution finish to try out. Need to spend some time stripping old product off. Only plan on doing roof rails and plastic by the mirrors.
