Ive been gathering parts to upgrade my sound system for a while now, and I’m at the point where I need to start running wires. I’ve run a 1/0 power wire through the firewall, now I need to run speaker wires and RCAs.
I’ve been searching for a good set of RCAs to run from the head unit to the amps and there seems to be hundreds of options. Hopefully this isn’t like a what brand oil is best question, but what brand RCAs would you recommend. Prices seem to vary a lot. I’ve been looking at JL Audio XBs but really have no idea.
The other question I had is can speaker wires be run parallel to RCAs?

I use the Kicker KI cables in my truck and in my shop and they work great. I've also seen lots of use of the mid tier and higher end Stinger cables. I'm sure everything JL makes is great. Just steer clear of the cheap stuff. I've had lots of clients bring me BOSS and planet audio and all the cheap junk on Amazon and it all picks up tons of noise and the cables fall apart.

You CAN run RCA's next to speaker wire, especially if you get decent cables. Just try to keep it away from that power wire and you should be good

All I want for Christmas is a car audio system that runs on optical toslink top to bottom. It would be expensive, but oh so sexy.

The stinger elev8 has optical out, and a lot of DSP’s and some of the AudioControl amps have optical in
