License plate light re-location ideas

I recently upgraded to a HC Rear bumper. The main tube is 4" square tubing. There is no way of attaching the light to the bumper, and I have chosen not to mount the license plate there to avoid smashing it while wheeling.

I have a swingout tailgate that I currently have my license plate mounted to. I have thought of putting the stock ones in the swing gate, but also don't like that idea. It would require doubling back on the wiring. However, that is about the only viable option I can come up with at this time. So I'm reaching out to the wisdom of TW to hopefully steer me in an easier and better path.

WHat about running these threw the license plate bolt holes?

 

I think mounting it on the swing out is a good Idea.

You could use 2 for the license plate and 2 more for the lights
