hi everybody! Long time leecher, first time poster! after a search on the forums, i could not find a great answer, so here i am!
I am about to do an ATF change. i might as well do a filter replacement while i am in there, but an OEM filter is about $50 compared to some i found for $25. i guess a concern would be the screen mesh being the same material and size.I normally spring the extra bucks for OEM parts, but im curious how the people here feel about it. Has anyone ever bought an aftermarket filter? Or is this one of those items where i should just buy the OEM?
this is the aftermarket filter i am looking at

the company is in japan. so thats good right?
    I have a 07 Tacoma base 4x4 auto v6.

    Thank you for your input!

I haven't had to replace the filter in my Taco yet. But I have used AM filters many times over the years with zero issues.

Here's a NAPA filter for my daughter's Yaris.

It's a screen, not a filter. I changed it in my 2005 taco and it didn't have anything inside. I just changed the oil in my 2006 4runner and I didn't change it.

I did the trans fluid change by dropping the pan. I already bought the OEM strainer but to be honest I could’ve reused the old strainer. Also I would have no problem using a good quality after market part such as yours.
