I prefer Brian Cox of NdGT just because he has better speech. Neil fumbles his words and can't keep up with his thoughts so it comes out less articulate in comparison.

He's good, too. Like the next generation of a physicist with pop culture cache. Carl Sagan was the best, but those two hold their own.

Thanks to @PzTank for the like, it reminded me to snap a picture. And the sticker is the same one as in the picture taken on the Discovery

I'm case others haven't heard of this, this book and audiobook is fantastic:

    https://www.audible.com/pd/A-Man-on...of-the-Apollo-Astronauts-Audiobook/B016J1NMR6

I recently finished listening to the audio book. For anyone who is curious about the significance of each of the Apollo missions and wants to learn more about the people behind it, it is fantastic.

In the same vein, j really enjoyed this book too:

I agree. These are terrific reads.

The 3 volume set of Chaikin’s book is especially impressive. Used, Like New, is a bargain IMHO.

    That's so cool!

My grandparents have some cool aviation and space memorabilia that we have kept since their passing. Lots of history.

Here's a bunch of stuff regarding the vastness of space.

This Reddit thread is really fascinating and where all of the other links come from:

    https://www.reddit.com/r/dataisbeautiful/comments/dbntq8/light_speed_fast_but_slow_oc/

The video posted was created by the OP and is this one:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nQUwHdSAhmw

We've all been told that it takes light from the sun about 8 minutes to reach Earth (which is true), but this visualization really helps you grasp that fact.

    Dude's channel is here:

    https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCSaCQr2ppyNUY_kjnWY1yVQ

Here's another YouTube video. This one is 45 minutes long and basically puts you on a photon emitted by the sun and shows what you'd pass along the way and how long it takes to get there:

This link is interactive and lets you side-scroll our solar system with everything to scale (the Moon being the size of one pixel):

I was there to see Apollo 13 launch. What I can remember (I was really young) it was really cool...

Now I am anxiously awaiting the launch of SLS.

    Nice....what a terrific memory!

The SLS should be amazing as will be the SpaceX Starship & Super Heavy. All going up from the same launch pads as the Saturn!
