I’m about to pull the trigger on a set of 5100s. Just don’t know if I should buy ome 2885, 2887, or keep my stock Sport springs.

i know OMEs do the lifting with the shock at 0, as opposed to the shock doing the lift on the stock spring.

what’s the difference, comfort wise? I’m only looking for 1 1/2 - 2 inches. I’m not planning on adding bumper, winch or any heavy stuff. I don’t want my ride to end up bouncy or stiff. Streets around here qualify as off road.

I personally didn't feel a difference in mine and my neighbor who runs 888s and his second set in now sagging. They both ride the same and I'm on stock sport springs on the 4 the perch. Rides great and I think either way is fine. Don't listen to this bullshit that it will ride harsh. Mine rides a lot better than the stock sport struts gave me. There is a big misconception that you need to change the springs. I run a rear block, front diff drop, rear carrier drop, and stock UCA, added 265/70/17 Toyo open country at2 SL rated tires and the ride is grea, no shaking or vibrations, I also did the ecgs clamshell bushing. No issues at all.

The shop kept everything in spec so there would be no vibrations. They thought it was best.
