    I sure do miss my 2nd gen easy-access oil filter. I had the entire procedure down to a science...15 minutes max. On the other hand, oil changes on my 3rd gen are a PITA!

    I put my Ratio Rite under there. Like others have said, just don't forget to remove it when you're finished.

    no hose needed. Hose will just create more of a mess due to the residual inside of it.

    No,Stick an empty water bottle over the snout when doing your oil change,simple.
