2019 Entune navigation card OEM number and reputable resellers?

Does anyone know what the newest 2019-2020 Entune Micro SD navigation card OEM and version number is? Some listings on EB say it’s
862710 E071 V. 18.1

Also, does anyone know of any reputable discount resellers (used or new) of the newest cards? I noticed a few on EBay but they seem a bit shady and wont take returns...

 

Good question, I believe October is when the new ones come out perhaps? I have also been told they are somewhat behind. Prepare for the "Just use your phone" crowd to chime in. But I also am looking to upgrade mine to the latest. I like the built in one and have found that it works great.

 

Phones are pretty much useless when you’re offroad in decent places. Ive found that the built-in one even shows cow paths and some trails that are not even on some maps, especially in the backcountry like these in eastern Oregon where there was no cell phone service.

 

Do you use the Entune app on your phone? When connected, the head unite in my truck has updates pushed to it from the app every once in a while. I haven’t paid much attention to what the updates entail.

 

Those Entune updates are for the apps not navigation or stereo firmware. Let me know if you find out what the latest version of the maps are.

Does the 2020 head unit have an SD card as well?

 

I download high res maps and satellite images to my phone for the remote places I go. Much better than the head unit, and it goes hiking with me and shows me the way back to the taco.

Good point, that’s perfect for hiking and offroad if you get to preload the maps before and cellular service blackouts, and I do the same- using my TopoMaps app on my phone and iPad, but around town and over a very long road trip where I cannot download any additional maps because we're off grid, the head unit or paper maps are a good way to go as well.
