19 Tacoma Pro here with Predator Steps. Want to remove them for a set of Rock Sliders with a kick out, and a top plate. Which companies/brand are the ones to stay away from? Which ones are the best in your opinion.

    Thanks!

Welcome to Tacoma World. I'd start looking at which manufactures are close, and at who makes what fits your truck. Then pick out what you like.

Do you want weld on or bolt on. Weld on get the most praise for being stronger. Are you keeping your truck? Although sliders are an upgrade, if you sell your truck? The next buyer might not want sliders.

Yeah, I’d like a simple bolt on install. I’m looking at some on Runnin4Taco website. Not bad for prices, but I’m new to Toyota so brand wise I’m not to familiar with the aftermarket world.

They all are pretty much the same. I think mobtown is known for the easiest install. I see RCI on the R4T site. If those are the ones you are looking at they are good too. If you are looking at the other ones, which I'm guess is their in house brand, I'm not too sure about that notch. Something that is meant to slide over obstacles has the risk of getting hung up when it hits that notch.

This. Also keep in mind most of the reputable shops have long lead time, so I wouldn't expect anything less than 4 weeks from order date til it shows up at your door.

They still have a storefront in socal as well... I'm pretty sure you can still pick up orders from there.

I think All Pro doesn't have a storefront in Perris. I believe that they are now out of Fresno under Trail Gear. Didn't see Cali Raised on the map in CA but they do have a location in Buena Park. And I don't know if shmellmo has a site, but he is in LA and there is also Beast fab in San Bernardino.

Exactly! They don't make the sliders there, but you can pick them up at that location!

Buy yourself a decent welder for $400, get some 4xInnovations weld-on sliders for $250, and you'll still be in for less that some of these bolt-on sliders I've seen.

Plus, you'll have a welder at the end of it and you'll be able to build all sorts of bumpers, skids, anything your heart desires. I recently threw together these mounts for my hi-lift that bolts to the bed. Just a couple welds here and there and $10 in metal from home depot and I had fully custom mounts that probably would have cost $60 had I purchased them. Do I get instagram points for them? No.

Side bonus is you make new friends that pay you in beer to weld for them, too!
