I've just got my Tacoma ready for a camping trip, and looking to get some type of camp mattress for the back of the truck that isn't 72" long like most are. Would be great to get something the length & width of my short bed Tacoma as i've got storage underneath. Recommendations? Thanks a lot!

    Like, so many.
Would you want to just cut some foam or something?

There are any number of vendors out there that will make a custom mattress to your specs - just google 'custom made mattress near ????????????'

If you were anywhere near northeastern NC, I'd recommend Southern Mattress in Rocky Mount. They've made a couple for my campers over the years and do a great job.

Mattress "topper" cut to size? May not give you the amount of cushion you want but come in various thicknesses.

Thanks all, I thought about the egg crate foam on top of the wood platform but figured it wouldn't be all that comfortable. Most inflatable mattresses are 72" so was hoping someone knew of a shorter one specific for these short beds. Appreciate the replies though!

    usually northwest of you

get a sheet of styrofoam from a big box store and cut it to size. then use an air mattress

the styrofoam does a lot to keep you away from the cold bed. maybe use a piece of plywood under it if your bed is corrugated (most are)

Get a Full size memory foam topper and trim it to size. Also I put mine inside a double size sleeping bag and it has worked fantastically. No need for an air mattress and its comfortable enough to seep on your side. The sleeping bag adds a good 1.5-2 on top of the thickness of the memory foam.
