I tend to drive slow and mostly keep a light foot. My v6 Nissan gets similar milage on the highway, but 2 mpg less around town, probably because it weighs 1300 lb more.

My #1 complaint of my Tacoma, a 4 cylinder that can only do 21mpg on the highway......however the payoff is 308,000 miles on the clock and no payments for 15yrs.

    Pick your pain.

I have a 95 2.7 4x4 automatic (160,000mi) and carry a fairly heavy fiberglass camper shell on it. I get 18.5 with a decent mix of city and local hwy, with some stoplights. I feel if I ran out a tank at about 60 mph I'd be about 21mpg or so. I just never drive it long distances.

    Working on it now....UNDER CONSTRUCTION
We get 20-22 MPG. When it dropped below that we had to replace the Air/Fuel Sensor and o2 sensor as it threw a code.

    Oh look, another MPG thread.

Look, OP, your MPG will not be the same as other folks. It depends on everything from your gearing, if you have a pre-runner, gearing, transmission, tires, how much crap you carry with you, to how much of a lead foot you have, etc...

Most people with 4x4s get anywhere from 14-18. Some people even claim they get better mileage than what the factory claims (though I find that hard to swallow).

    I had a 97 5-lug 2.4L and I got around 27 which seems pretty normal.

Why do you so desperately need to how many miles in a tank you get?

Best thing you can do is keep an eye on it over several tanks and compare the fuel pumped against your odometer. I just take the receipt from the pump and take a picture of it next to my odometer with my phone, then dump it all into a spreadsheet.
